The Global Cyber Alliance has launched a new and free dns resolver service located at i.p address 126.96.36.199 better known as Quad9.
The service also checks with the IBM X-Force’s threat intelligence database to help ensure protection from over 40 billion bad sites and images. The Alliance (GCA) was co-founded by the City of London Police, the District Attorney of New York County and the Center for Internet Security. The service also offer strong privacy and security features.
The services is similar to Googles 188.8.131.52 dns resolver service. These services will be particularly useful in providing an additional layer of security for the so called Internet of Things such as home appliances.
